Three of the arbitration institutions are in Asia and each has its merits.
CIETAC's headquarter is in Beijing China, with branches in Shanghai and Shenzheng. It is gradually becoming a international arbitration center, especially Chinese related disputes. One of the advantages is already mentioned in the former article. There is a list for the arbitrators. The appointment of an arbitrator outside of the arbitrator list, is subject to CIETAC Chairman's approval.
HKIAC is located at Hong Kong and it has the similar legal system with England as the case law system. It is easy to be accepted by case law system's investors. And it has the relatively flexible arbitration rules and mature management system.
SIAC is located in Singapore and also has the relatively flexible arbitration rules and mature management system. It is also known for settlement of disputes related to construction, banking, insurance and shipping.
